Fridge Trucks Subsidies: Germany en Belgium
In Germany, a subsidy of 15 to 25% is possible for fridge trucks aiming to enhance cooling efficiency through measures like the installation of photovoltaic or solar systems and other alternative energy generation systems (category 7014). However, this subsidy is only applicable if the generated energy is utilized, for instance, to power the cooling device or other energy consumers on the trailer, or if it can augment availability without relying on external power sources.

In Belgium, subsidies of 25 to 40% are available for equipping non-location-bound cooling units (temporary cooling, vans, trucks, or trailers) with fully electric cooling units powered by batteries. These batteries are charged with grid power, self-generated green energy, or residual energy, excluding electricity generated by internal combustion engines using fossil fuels. Hybrid cooling units (diesel + electric) are not eligible.
